Terms of service

Last updated 22 July 2026

These terms govern your purchase and use of an AngloOrigin heritage report from Anglo Origins ("we", "us"), 16192 Coastal Highway, Sussex County, Delaware 19958, United States. By purchasing, you agree to them.

1. What you are buying

A digital PDF report about the documented history of a surname you specify. Each report is generated for you after purchase and delivered by email, normally within about ten minutes. It is a one-time purchase, there is no subscription and no recurring charge.

2. What a report is, and is not

A report describes the origins, meaning, spread and recorded history of a surname and the communities that carried it. It is not:

Most surnames arose independently in many places, so a shared surname does not establish a shared ancestor. We state this in the report itself.

3. Accuracy

Reports are compiled from published historical, linguistic and census sources, which are listed at the end of every report. History is incomplete and sources sometimes disagree. Where a figure is an estimate, the report says so. We make no warranty that every statement is free of error, and a report is provided for personal interest, not as a basis for legal, financial or genealogical claims.

4. The information you give us

You provide a first name, a surname and a country at checkout. You are responsible for their accuracy, a misspelled surname will produce a report about the misspelling. If you notice a mistake, contact us promptly and we will do our best to help.

5. Price and payment

Prices are shown in US dollars and charged at checkout. Payment is processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card details.

6. Refunds

Every purchase is covered by a 7-day, no-questions-asked money-back guarantee: email us within 7 days of your purchase for a full refund. See our refund policy.

7. Your licence to use the report

The report is yours for personal, non-commercial use: read it, print it, keep it, give it to family. You may not resell it or redistribute it commercially. We retain copyright in the report and its design.

8. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from a report is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. The version in force is the one published here on the date of your purchase.

10. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States. Questions: support@anglorigins.com.
